What happened during the Paris attacks ?

Six coordinated attacks took place in Paris and Saint-Denis (north suburb, just outside Paris), starting at 9:20 pm, on Friday, November 13. 128 deaths have been confirmed so far. Hundreds were injured, many seriously. 8 attackers were killed, some of them after detonating bombs they were carrying. The Islamic State claimed its responsability for these attacks Saturday.

What is happening right now in France ?

French President, Francois Hollande, declared a state of emergency and three days of national mourning. Border controls have been reinforced, by order of the president, and security has been reinforced in Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle and Orly airports. If you are flying from, to or through France, Saturday and the next few days, expect delays as there will probably be additional waiting time for controls.
In Paris, the police recommends people to remain indoors if possible this week-end, though there was no specific new threat. 1 500 soldiers were called by governement to ensure security on the streets of Paris. Demonstrations and public gathering in Paris, Hauts-de-Seine (92), Seine-Saint-Denis (93), Val-de-Marne (94) are forbidden until Thursday the 19^th. Emergency measures are running through Paris public hospitals from « L’Assistance publique-Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) ».
Are opened : Paris subway is running without interference, and the French railways confirmed that all trains are leaving as scheduled, with reinforced protection in the stations.
Are closed : The last visitors are leaving the Louvres museum, which closed its doors later Saturday morning. A lot of stores and famous malls didn’t open on Saturday morning, including Le Printemps, Galeries Lafayette, Les Halles, Tati and Le Bon Marché, along with several clothing and luxury retail chains like Vuitton, Gucci, H&M, Etam and Sephora. Christmas markets in Paris will be closed for at least five days. Disneyland in Marne-la-Vallée and Parc Asterix are closed, as well as most of Paris theaters. All schools and universities were closed for the week-end, as a precautionary measure.

What happened at Le Bataclan ?

The worst attack of Friday night took place at Le Bataclan, a famous concert hall, close to Republique square, during a concert by the American rock band Eagles of Death Metal. Around 9:30 pm, at least four attackers entered the building and started shooting randomly with automatic weapons. Inside and outside Le Bataclan, at least 80 people were reported killed, more than one hundred seriously injured, and 155 lightly injured. It took the police almost three hours to retake control of the building. The final assault took place after midnight. Four attackers were killed, one policeman was wounded.

What happened at Le Stade de France ?

Between 9:20 and 9:53 pm, three explosions occurred in Saint-Denis, a suburb town north of Paris, just outside the Stade de France, Paris main sports arena, during an international football (soccer) match – France was playing Germany. Three attackers detonated explosive belts they were wearing, killing one person, and themselves. President François Hollande was in the stadium, watching the match. He was safely evacuated. Hundreds of people spilled onto the field of the Stade de France stadium after explosions, before being evacuated.

Five other locations were hit, all in an eastern district of Paris city center, known for its nightlife, especially on Friday nights. Between 9:25 pm and 9:34 pm, four bars and restaurants of the 10^th and XI^th arrondissements were successively targetted by attackers armed with automatic weapons. Many customers were sitting on the sidewalk terraces, enjoying the mild weather. At least 37 people were killed and many more injured.

Lol, i'm just stating a point here, everyday for a past couple of months there has been bombs dropped in syria and people being fled out of their homes and innocent children killed.. This doesn't make the news but when paris has a smaller crisis with a fewer people killed than syria, this comes on news?

Its because the attack on Paris could a hepen in the UK or Holland or any European countrie

Differents points that I'm agree / not agree.

I'm completly against this fucking French government since the begining. I was against the fact to be on the EU, Europe and NATO since 2005 (French referendum) but the past governments had betrayed the citizens. I was personnaly AGAINST the fact to go in these wars in the the Middle East with the USA, completly against our interest. Unfortunately, we follow the USA every time because we are in NATO, like the majority of the EU states.

An exemple for Afghanistan in 2009. Check the involvements of each countries with US. UK first for almost each case.


The result of this illegal intrusion in the Middle East caused these radicalization movements and destabilize completly the Middle East. The majority of the Middle East states were better before the US/EU intrusion from NATO than now. Because of the illegal war in the Middle East, the population have to leave their countries and come in the EU states, UK mainly. It was also the case for Lybia. The terrorists from Friday were known by the French gouvernment but they (S data) didn't do something before to forbid them from the area

The bombs should be focused on the Islamic State in Syria (Raqqa, Tal Afar), not in the areas controled by el-Assad. Unfortunately, IS is also hidden in the citizen. The Islamic State is born mainly because of the Saudi Arabia and Quatar, and we are close with these countries because of their money and their resources. This is another inconsistency.


Islamic State /Daesh should fight directly the EU governments and not the citizens who are not responsible of their military mistakes. The citizens are manipulated by the fucking medias/banks to make elect the person that they want. I'm consider me not manipuled because I ceased to learn the news on TV since a moment (US version), to have the others version on Internet (Russia version), Unfortunately, this not the case for the main citizens in each EU states.

These things being said, and outside the geopolitic context, we can be more sensitive by this attacks because they are targeted on the EU states now and on everybody (Muslims or not) and not against a specific target like Charlie Hebdo (AQIM).

These terrorists killed also moderate Muslims in these attacks (in Le Bataclan). The first problem is the USA and their military conquest in the Middle East for the raw material and not for the human rights like they said. The state where you live (Canada) have the same responsability than France in the situation in the Middle East (because fo the NATO attacks). The results of this situation is because of the USA and his friends in the Middle East, Quatar, Yemen, Bahrain or Saudi Arabia (sharing their raw material with the USA) by perturbing the other countries Iran, Irak, Afgah, etc, for them.

Also, we are more sensitive when a disaster touch a partner, and all the EU members and US are more close with France than Syria...this has not escaped you I hope... Before to play the poor humanist, check firstly that your UK government is and was the FIRST US military partner (NATO) in the past all these wars in the Middle East to steal the raw material and kill the population, or to search this Ben Laden payed by the FBI and hiden in his caves...Even if that the Syria problem is directly linked with France this time, it was not the cases for the past wars (Irak 2003/ Afghanistan 2009).

It's the fact that when there is an attack in Paris with only the total of "150" people dead, the media shows this on television and brainwashes majority of the population. Bombs are continuously being dropped on syria till this very day and it hasn't once shown on the media? This is very unfair.

Innocent people are being killed still in Syria. The people killed in France were also innocent. Secondly, I know that many countries are linked together when it comes to war such as; US, France & UK. The fact of you saying "your UK friend death in an attack" is completely irrelevant.

In conclusion, it's the fact that the media doesn't portray the significant amounts of death occuring in Syria till this very minute which has been going on for months, instead, it shows a one night disaster in Paris. However, the lives killed in BOTH countries are INNOCENT people..

Furthermore, in the Paris attacks, they had apparently "found a Syrian passport" untouched near the remains of dead people. How can a Syrian passport not be atleast scratched or half blown up, as the terrorists used suicide bombs to kill themselves. My theory is that the government must have paid men to go act as terrorists an make destruction. I believe this is to do with the illuminati.

And yea thts real . When you blow yourself up how can the passeport can still be visual ? And look I dnt understand why france ,U.K and the us don't destroye the oil and petrole usines ?? Every day ISIS wins 2M $$$ selling petrole and oil . And Saturday France killed 27 ppl in Syria and most of thm innocent !! But I will tell you something if just AMERICA didn't get in tht war nobody was going too be penalised ! If just thy do humanitarian help it was going too be good ! But unfernatelly its way too late !
