Grief World Cup - 2014/07/07 [CANCELLED] - Poll #1

What Maps for the upcoming Grief World Cup?

Everybody know that there are currently the Soccer World Cup, so, i would like also suggest the same thing for the Grief, a Grief World Cup who might start soon, before the end of the current Soccer World Cup if possible.

My idea is to ask everybody to create teams only with players from their same country only. All the teams from the same country will play firstly a qualification round and will try to be the better team from their country. One team by country will play the final bracket. Here are the countries who play the Grief Mode mainly :

• Europe (sure with France, Spain, Germany, England, not sure for Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Poland, Austria, UAE)
  
• North America (sure with USA, not sure for Canada).
  
• South America (sure with Chile, Brazil, not sure for Argentina, Paraguay).
  
• Other (not sure for Japan).
  

I need also to know what configurations do you want :

• Accept or not players from another country in a team?
  
• Town & Farm, only Town, only Cell Block? [POLL]
  
• Magic or Not?, PaP or not, Boxes or not? [POLL]
  
• How many players (4v4, 3v3 ?), substitutes (2, 3, 4?), countries? [POLL]
  
• Other ideas about the World Cup and the Grief?

Even if I prefer rather than the host selects the map where he want play, your idea is not bad. In this solution the teams will need to be good in each map, no mainly in their favorite map !  
So if we say :
- Game 1 = host A = Town or Farm
- Game 2 = host B = Cell Block
- Game 3 = host A = Cell Block
- Game 4 = host B = Town or Farm ?

5 secs seems really short, it's a camping but not an abusive camping. I think 10 secs seems better. A small poll is available here :

Also we talk about all the corners or mainly the the five more embarrassing corners (stamin-up, double tap, bar, juggernog, in front of the building jug)? And what about a immobile position exactly, the same time or the double?

Not really agree in this point, because we will have maybe players who cannot played together (tension, same job in the team). What do think the other players?
Random teams by coutries or player free to select their teammates?

We can do 2 differents teams of each country and 2 rankings based in attack and defend.
But i don't know yoplix i think that one team is 70%communication, relationship,experience playing together and 30% individual skill,probably your option is better

Why is borough not included? And i think there should be different rules for each map. All maps should have to be played at least once.

You should be free to choose your teammates for the tournament.
If we play different maps, don't you think it will affect who will be the last host, if it's 2:2?
I mean you can die faster in Farm and Cell Block than in Town.

Yoplix that´s a great idea! I really will enjoy if finaly we had the 3 maps, and also I thnik that the best option is 4vs4 with 2 substitutes! I think that the teams had to be everibody from the same conutry!

that is to say? Differente abusive camping time for exemple ?

I need to know if we need forbid the camping in Cell Block this time?
if we are agree to play without magic this tournament?
to fixe the time of abusive immobile camping (no in te corners).

It is a problem if there 3-0, or 3-1, never Cell Block.

Maybe if the host can choice the map, but only one time. We will cannot select two time in the same match for exemple.

It will be a 4vs4 rigth?

No ideas for the moment (nothing is fixed), but with 4v4 impossible to broadcast in live so I think no.

I think that 4vs4 is the best option to do a world cup because the game was disigned to play 4vs4, we can stream the theater mode

Ok, first of all, leaving any map out (including borough) is not fair to some players its called a grief [ world cup for a reason. Everyone that voted for anything other than the 3 maps needs to understand that this is a grief world cup not a town world cup or a farm world cup, meaning it should be on everything grief and not just 1 map, we might as well just call it town world cup instead. Anything less then having all available grief maps involved would ruin the purpose of the world cup, this tournament has to be big, definitely bigger than any tournament weve done before.

The best solution, to keep it fair to all players (town players, farm players, cell block players, borough players), while still keeping the poll in mind. I think the best solution to keeping it fair and going with the poll would be this:
4 Winning Games, so each team should have the opportunity to host at least twice, on 2 different maps.
Game 1 (Host A): Town
Game 2 (Host B): Farm
Game 3 (Host A): Cell Block
Game 4 (Host B): Town
Game 5 (Host A): Farm
Game 6 (Host B): Cell Block
Game 7 (Host of lowest Time Wins): Borough, for the tiebreaker.

I really like your idea ZombieSlay and your system to select the host then the map, it's the most evident way possible for everybody, they will need just to follow the order. I think we will keep your idea so I wait the reaction of the other players about this idea.

It will be just too long with 4 winning games... (7 games possible)

Will we need to command also the setting for each map (town no PaP, Farm no Boxes, etc...) or the host will be free to select himself?

- Game 1 = host A = Town or Farm

- Game 3 = host A = Cell Block or Borough
- Game 4 = host B = Town or Farm ?

With this being the grief world cup, 4 winning games is totally necessary. The settings of the game will have to be the same for both hosts, for example, if Host A selects no restrictions, and then Host B selects no pap or boxes, this will make it so the advantage on the winning time will easily be given to the Host B. We will have to make a required setting or just give them a choice if they can agree on the setting.

I'm just fearing that we have lack of understanding about the rules between teams if they reached an agreement orally in the lobby.

The captains rather will need to add a message at the opponent captain before to start the game with the settings selected between these settings :
- Settings 1 : No Restriction
- Settings 2 : No PaP
- Settings 3 : No PaP & No Boxes
- Settings 4 : No Magic
Bonus surprise setting : Ony headshoots, normal difficulty ?  

What happens if the 2 captains don't agree? Should it be set to normal settings (no restrictions) by default?

Game 1: Town no PaP: Host A
Game 2: Farm no boxes: Host B
Game 3: Cellblock no magic: Host A
Game 4: Town no PaP and boxes: Host B
Game 5: Borough: No PaP: Tiebreaker

For my that´s the best option, also i think that the best is 4vs4 yoplix, but i can´t submit my vote xD
