What Maps for the upcoming Grief World Cup?

Everybody know that there are currently the Soccer World Cup, so, i would like also suggest the same thing for the Grief, a Grief World Cup who might start soon, before the end of the current Soccer World Cup if possible.

My idea is to ask everybody to create teams only with players from their same country only. All the teams from the same country will play firstly a qualification round and will try to be the better team from their country. One team by country will play the final bracket. Here are the countries who play the Grief Mode mainly :

• Europe (sure with France, Spain, Germany, England, not sure for Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Poland, Austria, UAE)
  
• North America (sure with USA, not sure for Canada).
  
• South America (sure with Chile, Brazil, not sure for Argentina, Paraguay).
  
• Other (not sure for Japan).
  

I need also to know what configurations do you want :

• Accept or not players from another country in a team?
  
• Town & Farm, only Town, only Cell Block? [POLL]
  
• Magic or Not?, PaP or not, Boxes or not? [POLL]
  
• How many players (4v4, 3v3 ?), substitutes (2, 3, 4?), countries? [POLL]
  
• Other ideas about the World Cup and the Grief?

Again, bellidez. It is not fair to those who never get to host farm or cell block.

Yoplix when we will know all about the tournament? I just want to inscribe my team xD

Unfortunatly, I'm sorry to have made a noise for nothing, I was not sure before, but now, the tourney will be finally canceled postponed. I will need to travel soon for all the summer holidays and i'm will be not available before October (no sure). I would never get the time to manage this tourney as I would wanted anyway.

Yoplix, why we don´t run this tournament with one representative player of each country?
I explain, my idea is for example: You suggest to do the grief world cup with: Europe A, Europe B, North America and South America. We can chose one representative player from this 4 sites to carry on with the tournament. Europe A: Priceless. Europe B: Joel_2607 North America: QOADRICORN_JIZZZ South America: Someone from bkn team. If we do this we can carry on with this tournament!

Ah yes nice idea, so I will need to update the representative players. So finally, I will be maybe available for August and they will help me in this way. I want really me too not cancelled but just postponed this tournament :

Finally yoplix, if we want to do, I thin that we could start the 1 of august, and finish the 15 of the same month. Also we ha to present just one team for country, in spain, we will do a little tournament, and the team who take the victory will go to the world cup.

Ok bellidez, when you will start your small tournament? I suggest you to use the forum and challonge as your 3v3 last tournament.

For the last rules, I sayd again that 4vs4 it´s the best option to do this tournament, cause it will be the bigest tournament that we have done. We can stream the matches using the theater mode

They will get kicked out like in the real World Cup

Bustacall, I suggest you too to talk with Vektik to create also your qualifications with Challonge if possible to have the better German team, even if I think you will be certainly the better

Why you don't manage a championship with all the same countries rather than a tournament with direct eliminatories?

I think that the best is to do the tournament like you said at fist, with a round robin groups.
Europe A: two teams pass to next round
Europe B: two teams pass to next round
North America: the same
South america: the same

With the idea of a tounament with all the maps, the final should be: Europe vs America

It's Single Eliminatory.

It' better to have a Round Robin, where all the teams from the same countries need to play against all the other from the same countries to see who is the better, and also to add latecomer if necessary.

About the registration

What I'm sure :

It will be a 4v4 tournament = 4 players by team (with 2 substitutes possible)

All the players need to be from the same nationality ABSOLUTELY. The representative country it's about the nationality (where you are living actually), not about the origin.

To check the geolocation of the players, each player from each team must to create an account HIMSELF if it's not done and to post a message in the registration subject to confirm its nationality and its participation in the team. Then, I will can check and confirm with tools the registration of the player in the team. The team can not begin the final phase if the geolocation of each member is not confirmed.

Also, to don't have other frauds about the registration requirements according the rules about the high cheating and the players banned, you will be strongly advised to play with your main acount or to indicate ABSOLUTELY your main account if you want to use another account (and explain why). If I have a doubt about the origin of an unknow/secondary account, I will post comments and wait for the confirmation of the player before to confirm the registration.

What I'm not sure :

The Host (H) will be the same for all the competition, so you need to be sure to select the better host before to confirm who will be the host in your team (no wireless connection allowed to be host). If you need to change your host for a particular reason, you will need to post a message before in the forum to explain why and it will be exceptional.


About the matches & games

What I'm sure :

Each map will be started round 20
Ecah maps will be played always with theses specifics rules :
Town : No Boxes, No Pack-a-Punch
Farm : No Boxes
Cell Block : No Magic
Borough : No Magic, No Equipment/Items.

No Abusive Camping for each map. :
No more than 5 seconds in the corners.
No more than 10 seconds in a motionless position.

No cheating : Lag Switching/ Hacking, Disconnection by rage reaction, etc..

What I'm not sure :

4 Winning games will be really too long for all the matches of the pools countries (7 games possible), this option will be maybe better for the last matches from the but not for all the matches., so I have

Solution for 3 Winning Games (BO5) with 4 maps (long relflexion) :
- Games 1 & 2 : Maps by defaut (Town or Farm) = Magic ON
- Games 3 & 4 : Maps downloaded (Cell Block or Borough) = Magic OFF
- Games 5 (final) : Choice for the quickest winner team (map not selected before)

All the possibilities during a Match :
- Game 1 : Team A host in a Map by default (Town or Farm.)
- Game 2 : Team B host in a Map by default (Town or Farm).
- Game 3 : if there are 0-2, the Team loosing host in a Map downloaded (Cell Block or Borough).
////////// if there are 1-1, the Team A host in a Map downloaded (Cell Block or Borough).
- Game 4 : if there are 0-3, the Team winning 3 games win the match.
////////// if there are 1-2 (or 2-1), the Team B host in Cell Block or Borough.
- Game 5 : if there are 1-3 (or 3-1), the Team winning 3games win the match.
////////// if there are 2-2, the quickest winner Team host between the maps not selected before

Solution for 4 Winning Games (BO7) with 4 maps (ZombieSlay's Idea)
- Game 1 (Host A): Town
- Game 2 (Host B): Farm
- Game 3 (Host A): Cell Block
- Game 4 (Host B): Town
- Game 5 (Host A): Farm
- Game 6 (Host B): Cell Block
- Game 7 (Host of lowest Time Wins): Borough, for the tiebreaker.


About the progress of the competition

What I'm sure :

All the communication will be done only in the forum (no private messages) : to register a team, to take appointments with opponents, to say when the games start (avoid the rage quit from the host) and to give the results (from the two captain). By this way, we will have directly a proof if there are a problem somewhere.

What I'm not sure :

The Japanese players would like really to play because it's a World Cup. So we need some changes and not a Europe VS America competition finaly :

Round 1 = Qualification by countries (Round Robin) :
All the teams from the same country play together to be the better from their country. We will need exactly 8 teams or 16 teams, according the numbers of countries registered..
Two exemples to select the last teams :
- if we have 11 teams qualified, the 4 teams who played the least matches to be qualified will need to play between them to be the sole last 8th team qualified.
- if we have 17 teams qualified, the 2 teams who played the least matches to be qualified will need to play between them to be the sole last 16th teams qualified.
3 winning games ?
Deadlines : 7 July / 27 July
The matches will be started during the registration (until the 20th).

Round 2 = The World Cup (Final Bracket) :
Do we need to create absolutely draw by continent ?
We will can suggest a random draw also like the real World Cup.
4 winning games ?
Deadlines : 1st August / 15 August,
- if there are 16 teams (8ths) = 4 matches to be Champion = 4 days /matches
- if there are 8 teams (4ters) = 3 matches to be Champion = 5 days /matches
Streamings and broadcasts in live for sure

Can't we do it like that, that a player can choose for what team he wants to play (like Diego Costa in the real World Cup) when you have two nationalities.
Flopsum_One is German but lives in the Netherlands and I don't even think that there will be a Netherlands team.
As I just heard from Priceless even Dalton_Rageux shouldn't be able to play in a France team because he lives in Switzerland.
Also, Ross lives in Netherlands because of his work and with these rules he can't play in a UK team...

That would be good if we discuss about that.

How we can know if a player have a double nationality? I want willingly do exceptional cases of two nationalities, but some players will can lie me and affirm be from two nationality to choice the country the more easy for the tournament. But I would like especially no confusion between the nationality and the origin.

If a player lives for a particular reason in another country not of its nationality and that I cannot check the geolocalisation. I will have not choice to ask him to show me a copy of its identity card.

But it's a pity this thing because we need teams from Netherlands also !   

Yes, DaltoN_RaGeuX know already that he will play for the Switzerland because he lives in Switzerland. It's the same thing for some players from Belgium.
